Getting your Missouri State Vehicle Inspection is a necessary evil, and one that keeps you safe on the roads.

Complete inspection for every vehicle presented for inspection regardless of the vehicle condition, year, make and model.  If defective items are found during the routine vehicle inspection they may be repaired by you, this station, or any place of your choice. Before repair can be made by this vehicle inspection station, a few things must be done. We will provide a written estimate of the cost of any parts and labor to fix it. No repairs will be made until the vehicle owner agrees to the repair and the price is agreed upon.  Payment for your safety and emission test is due at the time of initial inspection. However, vehicle defects will be re-inspected at no charge if the vehicle is returned to this inspection station within 20 days. Because of MODOT regulations this excludes Saturdays, Sundays and State holidays.

If your vehicle is less than 5 years old, you only need your emissions test and if your car is from 1995 or older you only need your safety inspection. The price for a safety inspection is $12.00, and the price for an emissions test is $24.00.  This Missouri State Vehicle Inspection is mandatory for people living in Saint Charles and Saint Peters, and are typically performed every other year.
